Collection | annual runway show
Every year in May, Apparel Design seniors debut a unified body of original work at a runway show called Collection, which is open to both the campus community and the general public. The event offers an engaging way to share the latest fashion emerging from RISD studios while giving students experience with preparing for and presenting a professional show.
A second iteration of the Collection show is presented at NYFW in September, giving new graduates the opportunity to introduce their work to the fashion industry and press, while gaining experience from mounting a professional runway show in New York.

The designs shown at Collection are juried by a panel of guest critics—professional designers who give students critical feedback throughout the school year and ultimately determine which garments to include in the runway show.
