Arthur Hash

Before coming to RISD, Arthur Hash co-founded the Makerbot Innovation Lab for Fine and Performing Arts at the State University of New York at New Paltz and taught jewelry design and metalsmithing at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. He has been awarded two fellowships from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, VA and was named a Searchlight Artist by the American Craft Council in 2007. In 2014 he presented his fifth solo exhibition, Arthur Hash, Wearable Objects, at the Ridderhof Martin Gallery at the University of Mary Washington. His work also appeared in Out of the Box – Trends in Contemporary Jewelry (2013) at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Virginia Beach, VA and Body Language: Contemporary Art Jewelry (2012) at the Wayne Art Center in Philadelphia, PA and is included in a number of private and public collections around the US.
