Cassie McGettigan

Cassie McGettigan is a textile designer, researcher and wooded trail walker who works primarily in fabric silkscreen. She received a BA in Religious Studies from the University of Virginia, spent a decade in San Francisco, then returned East to earn an MFA in Textiles from RISD. In 2008 she co-founded Gravel & Gold, a shop and design collective that produces hand-printed clothing. Since coming to RISD as a graduate student and now a teacher, her focus has shifted to fabrics for interiors and their sculptural application. She currently maintains a studio practice in Providence and works collaboratively across disciplines on commercial projects.
