Frances Pharr

Frances Pharr is a multimedia designer, artist and educator based in New York City. Her work focuses broadly on intersections of critical theory and design practice, and she is particularly interested in ways to reflect, research and integrate feminist theory, radical pedagogy and alternate value systems in design practices and the world at large. She received an MFA in communications design from Pratt Institute in 2012 and a BA in fine art and art education from Hampshire College in 2003. She has been a guest lecturer and critic at Princeton University and MICA and also teaches in Pratt’s MFA Communications Design program.
