Jason Romero
Jason Romero is a textile designer based in New York City. He has more than six years of industry experience designing high-end jacquard upholstery fabrics and woven wallcoverings for the contract textiles market. He received his BFA in Fibers from the University of North Texas in 2009 and his MFA in Textiles from RISD in 2012. During his time at RISD he taught the Woven Rug Wintersession course.
Romero is currently a senior designer at Vescom Textiles Inc., a domestic jacquard and dobby mill, where he is co-leading a design initiative to expand the company’s product line to include offerings for the hospitality textiles market. Notable clients include: Arc-Com Fabrics, Bernhardt Textiles, C.F. Stinson, DL Couch, Designtex, Pallas Textiles and Pollack Fabrics.
