Jeannine Falino
Jeannine Falino is an independent curator and museum consultant. She has curated exhibitions, lectured, presented workshops and written extensively on American decorative arts, craft and design from the colonial era to the present, with expertise in metalwork, jewelry and ceramics.
Previously the Carolyn and Peter Lynch Curator of American Decorative Arts at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Falino has worked independently since moving to New York in 2007, where she was co-curator for the major survey exhibition Crafting Modernism: Midcentury American Art and Design (MAD, 2011) and curator of What Would Mrs. Webb Do? A Founder’s Vision (MAD, 2014), an exhibition on the role of advocacy and philanthropy in American craft. She was also co-curator of the exhibition Gilded New York: Design, Fashion & Society at the Museum of the City of New York (2013), which was on view through January 2016.
Falino's newest exhibition, Affichomania: The Passion for French Posters, opens at the Driehaus Museum in Chicago in June 2016.
