Jongwan Kwon
Jongwan Kwon
teaches in the Architecture and Interior Architecture departments. Prior to
joining RISD, he taught architecture design studios and workshops at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Hanyang University. He won the prestigious
SOM Prize for his ongoing research on the relationship between logistical
infrastructure and regional environment. His other design research explores
space of production and exchange, urban systems and ecology.
Kwon
holds a MArch and Urban Design Certificate from MIT and a BArch with honors
(summa cum laude) from Hanyang University, where he received the Best Thesis
Prize. He also studied at National University of Singapore as part of an
exchange program.
