Taylor Scott

Taylor Scott joined RISD’s leadership team in January 2018, building on more than a decade of experience in handling critical aspects of strategic marketing and communications for mission-driven institutions. Most recently, she served as senior director of Marketing & Communications at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA, for three years and as associate director of digital communications from 2012–15.

Prior to working at Mount Holyoke, Scott managed admissions marketing for Simmons College and worked in publicity and promotions in children’s book publishing. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Sewanee: the University of the South and has master's degrees in Writing, Literature and Publishing from Emerson College, and in English from Middlebury College.

Scott is the recipient of a CASE Silver Award for Program Improvement, an Educational Advertising Award for Special Video Production and the Simmons College Marketing Achievement Award. She currently serves on the Board of Tribunes for WGBY, a community-supported PBS member station.
