Tomashi Jackson

Tomashi Jackson’s multimedia practice works across painting, video, textiles and sculpture. Examining the relationship between the aesthetic and the political, Jackson creates layers of content that bridge historical actions with shifting artistic structures. Her work has been shown at such venues as MoMA PS1, the New Museum, Mass MoCA and the Walker Art Center. Recent solo exhibitions include Interstate Love Song at Zuckerman Museum of Art, Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, GA; The Subliminal Is Now at Tilton Gallery in NYC; and Love Economy: Emerging Visions of the African American Experience at Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI. She is represented by Tilton Gallery in NYC.
